A Fusion ensemble of various musical roots. From Latin American, Indian, African, Afro-cuban, Middle Eastern and Brazilian percussion to Australia’s Didgeridoo and ethnic percussion. It's all about the addictive fusion of pulsating rhythms and indigenous vocalizing.
Officially formed in 1994 by a group of friends sharing similar passion for percussion and drums.
When mentioned, many would know its founding members
Mohamed Noor, Nantha Kumar, Reggie Perrera, Robert Nalin, Joe Jeyaveeran and the late great Edmond Branson Jr
20 years ago these 5 friends started something they had in common and loved dearly.
Their love for the World Music has got them invited to many festivals and concerts around the world with established musicians like with Alex Acuna, Dennis Chambers, Steve Thornton and Japanese drummer Akira Jimbo, Manu Katche (drummer for “Sting”), Bobby McFerrin and the list goes on.
With a combined experience of more than 40 years, everything these drummers and percussionists do is original. Their inspiraHon flows from the world around them, from people they encounter, the streets they travel to the forces of nature -- the sounds of the jungle, the tempo of the rain and the power of thunder.
